Shark Fishing in Namibia |
Guides
The team is headed by the world renowned Terence Clark, pictured left. As the former captain of the Namibian Surf Fishing Team, Terence has expertise that is unrivalled anywhere else. His success rate is second to none and his ability to put the angler in amongst the fish from the word go is amazing. He will collect you from your accommodation each morning and drive you to the location for the days sport. He provides all tackle and bait, packed lunches and cold drinks. The transport will be by an adapted 4 x 4 vehicle, as you will be driving along the actual beach for much of the time in order to access the prime spots. When a shark is hooked, Terence is on hand to offer the necessary advice and guidance to succesfully land the fish. The fight may last for several hours and can be physically demanding. His experience in playing these huge fish will help the visiting angler minimise the length of the fight and reduce the physical effort in doing so. Multiple hook ups are common when fishing in a group. This is where he comes into his own, reading the fight and preventing tangles and foul ups. In the case of larger groups, additional guides are called upon. All are current or former members of the Namibian International Team, thus ensuring the highest quality of service. Terence Clark has operating as a guide for 10 years. The number of repeat clients is testimony to his expertise and enthusiasm.
